Money Saving Tips High-Efficiency Toilet Rebates

A toilet using 3.5 gallons or more per flush (GPF) accounts for roughly 26 percent of a home’s indoor water use. One of the easiest ways to lower your water use is to install a high-efficiency toilet (HET), which uses on average 1.28 GPF or less. Although HETs use less water, they remove waste effectively and perform well.

Eligible EBMUD customers can get $100 for upgrading an older toilet using 3.5 GPF or more to a new HET. The offer is good for purchases made January 1 through June 30, 2012, but is not retroactive. Applications for rebates must be submitted within 90 days from the date of purchase.
